Brazos Valley Cares – Welcome Dr. Carrie Elk

“Brazos Valley Cares is devoted to supporting individuals who have served in the United States military services, and their families, with additional consideration given to the Brazos Valley.”

Dr. Carrie Elk will be here November 3 – 8, 2019

November promises to be a busy month for Brazos Valley Cares, as it is time to welcome back Dr. Carrie Elk with the Elk Institute for Psychological Health & Performance.
For the last three years, Brazos Valley Cares has funded PTSD therapy for 5 local veterans and our next session is November 3 – 8, 2019.
Many thanks to in-kind donations from The Stella that has agreed to host the therapy sessions this year and for Dr. Elks for the second year in a row.
Dr. Carrie Elk with Elk Institute for Psychological Health & Performance is highly recognized in the treatment of psychological trauma – PTS, PTSD, shell shock, battle fatigue – that is provided at no cost to veterans.

Brazos Valley Cares - Upcoming Events

Maroon Santa – December 2019

Working together with Texas A&M College Republicans, Texas Aggie Democrats, Aggie Libertarians, and Young Americans For Freedom, Brazos Valley Cares is part to be a partner with this cross-partisan service undertaking.
The first event was held in 2017 as part of an effort to ensure that the children of veterans currently enrolled in Texas A&M University or Blinn College receive a gift at Christmas. There were 50 children provided with gifts that first year.
During the 1st or 2nd week of December at the TAMU Veteran Resource Center, a special holiday celebration with crafts and refreshments is held for these children and their families with Santa as a special guest to deliver the presents!
Donations this year to help with the wonderful venture can be received from November 1 thru December 31, 2019 through this link:
